Rebeltau News - True Merit!

Brothers,
At the recently concluded ATO National Congress in Orlando, the Delta Psi chapter was award the True Merit honor for the third consecutive year. One of 28 chapter recipients, the award places the Ole Miss chapter in the top 20% of all ATO chapters. Additionally, the chapter received excellence awards in:
 

  • Leadership
  • Financial Management
  • Pledge Eduction, and
  • Recruitment

Maurice Van Norman

Maurice Van Norman, class of '75, passed away peacefully at home early Tuesday morning from cancer. His funeral services will be held at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, MS on Monday, April 26 at noon. Maury was very fond of his fraternity and made several lifelong friendships with his brothers there. Prayers and thoughts for his family.

Jackson Lunch

Robert Schmieg Passes

Robert Schmieg passed away on Friday, October 23. The funeral will be held at St. James Episcopal Church in Jackson on Wednesday, October 28th at 10:00 am.
 
In lieu of flowers, he would like to have people make donations to the Resident and Medical Student Endowment Fund, Department of Surgery, University of Mississippi Medical Center, Attn: Dr. Marc Mitchell, 2500 North State Street, Jackson, MS 39216 or to CARA, Community Animal Rescue & Adoption, 960 North Flag Chapel Road, Jackson, MS 39209.

David Griffith Memorial Service & Funeral Plans

It is with great sadness that we inform you that Lanny and Susan Griffith’s son, David, passed away on Monday evening.  David had life-long medical challenges and he was finally overtaken by pneumonia related causes.  Please keep Lanny, Susan, and Sally Hamilton in your thoughts and prayers.

Rush Results - Fall 2009

The chapter pledged 60 young men last week. By all accounts, this is another quality recruitment class. Congratulations to the chapter and to Jake Chandler, the rush chairman, for all their efforts.
